I don't mean to be insensitive, but I'm really sick of hearing about the "devastating heat wave" that's taking place on the East Coast right now. I realize that temperatures above 95 degrees are unusual in the North East, but does it really warrant constant news coverage?
If temperatures topping 100 degrees, with humidity levels above 70% is really newsworthy, Texas would have to devote an entire news service strictly to the heat in the summer.
People, drink some lemonade and get out of the direct sunlight, and be thankful this is temporary for you.
I'd agree with you, Big, but in the winter headline news is the Texas "snow storm" of 2 inches where we shut down entire cities. I am sure those Northerners laugh at us then!
